STEPS IN THE APPLICATION PROCESS:

  • Obtain and complete all required forms and meet the minimum qualifications as listed below

  • Attend an interview conducted by the Apprenticeship Training Committee (“ATC”) of the USW District 10 & Pennsylvania Heavy Highway Contractor Bargaining Apprentice Training Fund (the "Fund")

  • Pass drug screening, and physical exam

  • Upon successful completion of the application process you will be placed on the eligibility list. The list shall remain valid for a period of two years

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • AUTHORIZED: To live and work in the United States

  • MINIMUM AGE: 18 years old

  • EDUCATION: High school graduate or G.E.D.

  • PHYSICAL: Capable of performing the work of the applicable trade with or without reasonable accommodations

  • TRANSPORTATION: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

ADDITIONAL INFO: In addition to completing the application, a clear and legible copy of the following information must be brought with you to the Fund office in order to be given an application to be completed at the site:

  • Proof of age - a passport, birth certificate, or driver’s license will be sufficient to show proof of age

  • Certified proof of High School Diploma or G.E.D.

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel 60-80 miles daily to job sites

  • Veterans Service discharge papers DD214 (if applicable).

  • If selected, you will also need to sign an Apprenticeship Agreement. 

Applications must not leave the office after submission.

Incomplete and illegible applications will be rejected. Please see details on font size requirements under #3 on the right side of this page.

If any of the Minimum Qualifications are not met then no application will be given, no exceptions.

Only one trade can be applied for, no exceptions.
